The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is dedicated to advancing the education of exceptionally promising students who have financial need. Through scholarship programs designed to encourage and support outstanding students, and strategic grant initiatives aimed at expanding educational opportunities throughout the United States, the Foundation reaches students throughout the nation.

The URSA Program was developed in 2012 with a grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation through its Community College Transfer Initiative (CCTI), which was designed to improve access for high-achieving, low-income community college transfer students and help them earn bachelor’s degrees at top colleges and universities nationwide. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation supported the first three cohorts. URSA is committed to providing participants with the resources necessary to excel in high school, college, and graduate school.
